NEW PBR Australia Challenger Division
PBR has just launched the new Challenger Division for bull riders 18+, a pathway into the PBR! Read more below.
Who is eligible?
- Any rider aged 18 years of age or over as of 1 January 2023.
- Any rider that has not won in excess of $2500.00 in PBR competition as of 1 February 2023.
- Once a rider wins $2500.00 in Challenger division, rider will move up to PBR open division.
- If a rider elects to enter an open division event as of 1 February 2023, before winning $2500.00 in Challenger Division, rider will then not be eligible to come back and enter a Challenger division event.
- If a rider is a qualified open rider in other recognized rodeo associations, rider can declare open status and skip the Challenger division or continue through the Challenger pathway.
What standard of bull would I ride?
- Bull Level (18-points to 40-point category).
How much is a membership?
- PBR Australia Membership: $360.00 + GST.
- Or Day Permit Membership: $50 + GST.
- Any Day Permit member who wins $341 + at an event will have PBR membership deducted from prizemoney payout and will be upgraded to PBR Australia membership.
How much are Entry Fees, Posted Purses and Payouts?
- Entry Fee $50 + GST
- Posted Prizemoney - $1,500.00 Minimum
- Payouts:
- 1 Round competition – 4 ways
- 2 round competitions - 4 ways in rounds (15%) and (70%) aggregate
- Percentage splits 40%/30%/20%/10%
Will I earn points in the PBR Australia National Standings?
- Money won in Challenger Division will not count towards PBR Australia National standings, but once a rider wins $2500.00 in Challenger division, the rider will move up to the main PBR open division events.
