As the Monster Energy Tour party rolls into the harbour city for our third iteration of PBR Meatstock this season, check out some stats and figures you need to know ahead of the PBR Monster Energy Tour Sydney Invitational At Meatstock from the Sydney Showgrounds this weekend.

75-
Clermont cowboy and Texas Rattlers superstar Brady Fielder returns to action this weekend after a 75 day absence from the PBR Australia tour after he suffered a broken jaw at the Tour Pro Division event in Kyogle, NSW in February. His Round 1 match up this weekend is U Know It (Throsby & Russell Bucking Bulls) and shapes up to be a good one for Fielder, with the bovine being covered already this season by fellow righty Lachlan Richardson

11-

Throsby & Russell/Baille bovine Almost Evil is proving to be plenty evil so far in 2023, with the bull continuing his good form from the back end of 2022 and is currently sitting on an 11 out buckoff streak and holding a 42.42 bull score average. Caiden Sandilands will be his dance partner during Friday's Round one action and with Sandilands coming off a perfect 3-for-3 outing in Toowoomba a few weeks ago, it's sure to be a cracker of a battle to the whistle.

60-
With four of the Top 5 riders in the current PBR Australia standings not turning out this weekend (Sam Woodall, Aaron Kleier, Jake Curr and Lachlan Richardson) the Sydney Event provides current No. 6 rider Kurt Shephard a fantastic opportunity to continue his rapid ride up the rankings. The Mareeba, QLD product is riding 6-for-10 so far this season for a whopping 60% ride percentage and despite only attending four events is only 50 national points shy of third placed Kleier. Shephard will face Bluey (Throsby & Russell Bucking Bulls) who has only been covered twice in 11 trips and only one left handed rider has managed to reach the eight with the bovine.

2.64-
Every season on the PBR Australia tour there are a select group of bulls who gain a reputation of being aggressive early ejectors and Shultz / JR Cattle Partnership bovine Hustler is certainty staking it's claim to be in that conversation. The bovine has taken four trips so far in 2023 for a rapid 2.64 average buckoff time and gaining a 42.75 bull score average so far in it's PBR career and will be matched up with Team QLD rider Lachlan Burgess during Round 1.

4-
This weekend marks the first time that the PBR Australia tour has returned to Sydney since the COVID pandemic, having last been in the NSW capital in 2019 for both the inaugural PBR Origin event as well as the Tour Pro Division Sydney Royal Easter Show PBR event, which was held at this weekend's venue The Sydney Showgrounds. Four riders who will feature across PBR Meatstock Sydney are NSW locals with reigning PBR Australia champion Cody Heffernan and Jono Couling hailing from Singleton as well rising stars Toby Leake (Dungog) and Matt Hollis (Tamworth), who will all have plenty of support from the locals.
