Bovine's shine early in 2024 as YETI Bull Of The Year race heats up

As the 2024 PBR Australia season takes a fortnight to catch it's breathe after 6 events in 8 weeks, It's evident early on that the bull power across the country is getting better and better each season, with 2024 being no different.
Across the early part of the season the Cowboys are only 1-from-42 against Top 10 ranked bulls in the PBR Australia standings with Boston Leather's 85-point effort on Man Glitter (Morgys Cattle Company) in Bendigo to give the current Australian #1 the Event Win the only black mark on that record.
It's Dittmann Bucking Bulls animal athlete Rambo who is the clubhouse leader thus far in 2024, with the seasoned bovine holding two 43-point efforts at Toowoomba Meatstock, bucking off Ben Bode 5.11 Seconds for a 43.5-point mark in Rd 2 and then following it up the next afternoon with another early ejection of Josh Grant in 3.66 seconds for a 43-point marker.
Of all bulls with 4+ outs it's Woodall Rodeo Co's Boomstick who tops the leaderboard in his first season on the PBRA circuit, with an impressive 43-point average across the year to date, with two big buckoffs in Marrabel of Tyson Smith in Rd 1 (2.73 second BOT & 43.5 Bull Score) and former Australian Champ Lachlan Richardson in the Short Go (4.01 BOT & 42 Bull Score) and backed it up at Bendigo last event, getting Sam Woodall and Ky Borghero down under the three second marker.
There's also been some fantastic individual outs with two 44-point efforts on the year to date, with Morgy's Cattle Co star Man Glitter starting the year with a bang when he was matched against Dan Ruhland during the Short-Go Round 3 at Marrabel, bucking off the Mount Walker Cowboy in 2.52 seconds to earn Bull of the event with a 44-point marker.
Arguably the best match-up of the calendar year so far was when two time PBR Australia Gold Buckle winner Cody Heffernan selected the formidable Mr T (Peter Wallace) as as Short-Go match in Beaudesert, a bovine that was previously unridden in three trips in 2024. It was the beast that got the chocolates on this occasion, proving too much power for the Singleton Cowboy into his hand falling to the outside of the spin and bucking off with 4.29 seconds on the clock.
